Vintage Givenchy Gold Plated Pendant Necklace 1970s
Super cool pendant necklace from the iconic Hubert de Givenchy. Made in France in the 1970s, this incredible necklace has a gold plated fine snake chain with a rectangular black resin and gold plated pendant featuring the iconic G logo.
Givenchy are known for producing timelessly chic jewellery throughout the 70s and 80s which are now highly sought after and collectable. Founded by Hubert de Givenchy in 1952, Audrey Hepburn, was Givenchy's greatest muse and wore the label in some her most famous roles, including Breakfast at Tiffany's. By the 1970s, on the advice of Cristóbal Balenciaga, Givenchy arrived on New York’s Fifth Avenue in 1976, diversifying into accessories and shoes. 1977 -1981 was a heyday for Givenchy jewellery where quality and design were impeccable and pieces from that era are particularly collectable.
