There is something wonderfully subversive about a whistle as jewellery.
This mid 1970s Givenchy piece is both sculptural and slightly rebellious. The pendant is formed as the iconic Givenchy “G” and it actually works, which feels very 70s in the best way. Bold, graphic, a little bit tongue in cheek.
Signed and dated on the reverse.

About the designer
The House of Givenchy was founded in 1952 by Hubert de Givenchy. By the 1970s, the brand’s costume jewellery had become known for strong graphic forms, bold gold plating and distinctive logo driven pieces. Vintage Givenchy jewellery from this era is highly collectable, particularly signed examples.
