Vintage mid-1990s Bazar de Christian Lacroix cross pendant, combining silver-plated metal with five textured black rubber panels.
The rubber has a distinctive tyre-tread pattern, giving the piece a bold, industrial quality. It comes from Bazar - a line launched by Christian Lacroix in 1994, which translated the designer’s theatrical style into more relaxed and experimental pieces.
The cross was one of Lacroix’s most recognisable motifs, but this unusual version replaces the ornate crystals and gilding of his mainline jewellery with graphic black rubber and hammered silver plated metal.
