1960s Wedgwood sage green Jasperware rectangular cameo pendant necklace. Made in England, dated 1966.
Classical white relief figure on sage green Jasperware ground, set in a sterling silver bezel mount on a fine sterling silver link chain with spring ring clasp. Stamped Wedgwood Made in England to the reverse.
Jasperware is an unglazed matte stoneware developed by Josiah Wedgwood in the 1770s, produced in several colourways including sage green, pale blue, lilac and black. The "Wedgwood Made in England" mark dates this piece to between 1908 and 1969. Jewellery from this period is among the most collected in the Wedgwood archive.
