Vintage 1960s Wedgwood Green Jasperware Cameo Pendant Necklace, Sterling Silver, 1966 Collection
Vintage 1960s Wedgwood Green Jasperware Cameo Pendant Necklace, Made in England
Vintage 1960s Wedgwood sage green Jasperware rectangular cameo pendant necklace featuring a classical white relief figure on green ground. The pendant is set in a silver mount with a simple bezel setting.
Jasperware is an unglazed matte stoneware developed by Josiah Wedgwood in the 1770s, characterised by relief decorations in contrasting colours that create a cameo effect. Wedgwood produced Jasperware in several colours including the signature pale blue, as well as sage green, lilac, black and yellow.
The mark "Wedgwood" with "Made in England" was used from 1908-1969, dating this piece to the mid-20th century. Wedgwood Jasperware jewellery from this period is highly collectible.
The necklace is stamped Wedgwood Made in England on the reverse of the pendant. In excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of wear.
