Vogue 1970s Vintage Gold Plated Clip on Earrings
Les Bernard For Vogue 1980s Clip On Earrings
Vogue jewellery was first produced by Park Importing Co.NYC, about 1915. The firm specialized in simulated pearls and beads jewellery. The Vogue jewellery found on the market today was manufactured in the late 1930's to early 1970's by Harold Shapiro, and his two partners, Jack Gilbert and George Grant. Shapiro left the company in 1961 and his son, Bernard, founded Les Bernard, Inc. in 1963. Vogue jewellery is said to be beautiful, demonstrating originality and innovation of designs. Jewellery pieces produced in the early 1930's to 1940's are hard to find and sought after by collectors. Mark: "VOGUE". The Vogue company ceased operations in early 1975.

Condition is everything
We never sell anything we would not be proud to wear ourselves. Vintage pieces are special because they have a story to tell and that is sometimes reflected in its unique patina. Most vintage pieces have minor imperfections which we try our very best to describe and reflect honestly in our photography.
How we classify the condition of our pieces
New - pieces that have never been worn and are in pristine condition.
Mint condition - pieces that in near perfect condition. They look as if they have never been worn or have been looked after exceptionally well.
Excellent condition - pieces that look hardly used, there may be a few tiny little scratches or marks that can only be seen if you look closely and unnoticeable when worn.
Very good condition - pieces that look a little used, minor scratches, chips or marks from years of wear or storage but consistent with age and adds to vintage patina and charm. There will not be any structural or functional problems.
Taking care of your jewellery
Signs of age add to the unique appeal and story of your precious pieces, but to minimise unwanted damage try to avoid liquids, make up and hair products and where possible try to store flat in packaging to avoid storage wear and tear.
We are always happy to make any repairs whether you have purchased through our store or not.
