Big, glossy and simple. A stretch bracelet of oversized caramel resin beads, each one an irregular pebble shape, strung on elastic so the forms sit against each other and make one solid, sculptural band. The colour is a warm butterscotch with tonal variation running through each bead, so it has depth rather than the flat finish of cheaper plastic.
The look belongs to a particular strand of late 20th-century jewellery. Monies, founded in Copenhagen in 1973, built its name on exactly this: big organic shapes in horn, wood, amber and resin, worn as sculpture rather than decoration. This is unsigned and not a Monies piece, but it comes from the same idea, and that idea is very much back.
